Diabetes and covid vaccination
State of Maharashtra has diagnosed at least 9.07 lakh Diabetics and 13.44 lakh Hypertensive patients since 2011 and also there are many other immunocompromised patients who are most vulnerable to serious covid infection.
Covid 19 vaccination will help us intensify and strengthen our fight against pandemic.
Specially in susceptible Diabetes patients vaccination is important and should be accepted by everyone for good.
The Serum Institute of India, the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer has manufactured Covishield, while Covaxin has been indigenously developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
Two doses of vaccination 28 days apart needs to be taken by everyone as soon as vaccination reaches all of us and it will provide upto 70 to 80 percent immunity. Patients who have already suffered covid also needs to get vaccinated. Always remember adequate precaution like mask and sanitisation are mandatory despite vaccination.
If Government authorises vaccination at private clinics then Diabetes and wellness clinic will definitely step forward to vaccinate all the patients reaching us.
